"Lovely staff, clean and comfortable room, and good food from the restaurant! This was a great option for our late night flight into Inverness. The car rental area was a short walk from the hotel when we picked up our car the next morning. "

"Stayed for one night. The room was a good size, quiet and warm. Unfortunately the mattress was very firm and not very comfortable. The bathroom was large but the water pressure and volume of water in the shower was very weak. Breakfast dinning area was very pleasant but the breakfast quality was poor. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. "

"The service was wonderful. The staff helped arrange things like taxis and a horse ride and made sure I got breakfast before an early morning tour (excellent scones!). They were especially accommodating on my last day when I was taking a late train, allowing me to shower and have a place to hang out for a little while in the late afternoon. The common areas feel historic but comfortable and well kept. The rooms are mostly updated but if you want a historic feel, be sure to request it. Pretty much all the rooms are a little different. There’s a lovely walled garden onsite and I got selfies with the Highland cows in the neighboring field. Just know that if you don’t have a car, it’s about a £12-14 cab ride from town. "

"Where to start? The home owners were so generous and let us check into our place several hours prior to our stay so we wouldn’t have to tote our suitcases around the streets of Inverness. The house was the perfect size for 6 adults. Rooms were comfy and cozy. Bathrooms were so clean. One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in. Home owner had extra sweet touches with welcome cereal and cookies for our group. Loved that they had a decorated Christmas tree at the house too. The location was perfect. If I ever find myself in this part of the world again we will def book here again. "

"Such a gem this lovely property so close to Inverness. Paul was a wonderfully gracious and helpful host amd the house was just tremendous. A currated collection of art works, furniture and collectibles made each room its own unique experience. The hot tub was a wonderful addition - one not easily found in the area. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself or a small army - we were so grateful to have so many resources at our fingertips. "

"Located as it is, Ballagan may not be suitable for small children, but for us as a party of 3 adults it was perfect. Clean and comfortable, well equipped and welcoming. We had expected it to be cold in Scotland in October, but were pleasantly surprised, so didn’t have to use the heating much at all, but when we did it warmed up quickly. Located within a very short distance of the Clava Cairns and Culloden battlefield, it is ideal for history buffs. Inverness is minutes away. All in all an extremely enjoyable holiday which didn’t break the bank, and certainly didn’t disappoint. Thank you"
