"The receptionist was extremely rude when I was booking in. I had a long drive (i'm sure other people do) but he was totally the wrong person. I was woken up very early by some extreamly loud coughing and snooring which went on and on and on. On a plus side when I was checking out the lady on reception was lovely!"

"The hotel is undergoing refurbishment but the rooms that are finished, and the public areas are great. The new Fat Badger bar has fantastic decor and atmosphere. The staff were very helpful, exemplified by the manager vacating her parking space when I was struggling to find a space."

Our room was immaculate and looking out over the sea and so very peaceful. We left feeling rested and although we had never stayed over night in Scarborough, both my husband and I said we would book another break very soon simply based on bring a wonderful experience. "

"The room was very comfortable and the staff very friendly . Breakfast was good but the evening meals ( both pizza and the main restaurant were disappointing and a bit expensive for what we got ) . Also the water temperature for the bath in our room was not hot enough - the shower was OK but not for a bath ."
