"I had a great stay, my only problem with this hotel was upon my leaving I had two people knock on my door to inform me check out was at 11 AM, it was 10 AM. I’ve never been in a hotel where i’ve been reminded about the obvious checkout time. I’ve never been in a hotel where checkout wasn’t 11. It made me feel like they were just trying to rush me out. I definitely left before 11. Other than that the stay was great, front desk staff were very kind and it was a great stay and right on the beach too! You get what you pay for."

"The staff was amazing. The room was perfect. I feel the staying in Kill Devil was the best place to stay. Definitely a tourist town, but it seemed to be half way between fun going north or south."

"We loved being on the beach, so beautiful. My only complaint was that the air conditioner was a window unit hanging out on the balcony. It was very noisy and had hot air blowing. Side note: our room was very nice and cool :) The free breakfast was terrific. The Sunrise Cafe lady kept it well stocked and clean. We enjoyed our stay."

"We stayed for a couple nights and it was very relaxing, a nice getaway. Being right on the beach was perfect. The only complaint I have is that check in time was 4pm and we didn’t get into our room until 5pm because they didn’t have any towels in the room yet. I expressed to them we had our own towels and didn’t need them but they wouldn’t let us in the room."

"We enjoyed our stay in general. The highlights are the made to order breakfast , and the 5:30-7:00 happy hour, both included. We really enjoyed the staff at these events. We loved being close to everything and we walked around daily. The only area which I'd suggest improvements were housekeeping. We stayed 7 days and each day we had to go out and look for staff to give us more coffee, towels, and we had to leave our garbage in the hall to be emptied. Finally on day 4, we asked how we could get service to the room. The desk staff requested service on the computer, and they did come later the next day. For people who paid $3000 in costs for accommodation for the week, I would like to see a system in place where it isn't such a guessing game to have these services provided. It's ironic that the people staying the longest get the poorest service."
