"Easy Check-In, relatively clean room, consistent housekeeping. Area nearby wasn't the prettiest but a short walk from downtown Des Moines. Parking lot was under construction and inconvenient"

"Wonderful historic hotel that is nicely refurbished with an artistic and well-decorated flair. "

"Everything was very nice, hot in the hallway but the room was cool and quiet. The hotel is pet friendly but they warned that there will be a $200 fine if the pets are left unattended, we were there only for one night, but we always travel with our dogs and there are times we have to leave them in the room for a bit, so keep that in mind."

"Went for my sons birthday, pool could’ve been a little bit cleaner but I still gave 5 stars because it was still an overall good experience "

"This was great with a buddy. It’s downtown Des Moines. Short walk to farmers market on Saturday morning. Took a walk by myself in the afternoon, not smart. Use the buddy system. It’s a big old beautiful city."
