Hotel Durant

"Aspen is close to the Maroon Bells which are world-class hiking and viewpoints for out of towners. The Park where the Maroon Bells are located has a policy that visitors must park their cars at the Trailhead by 8am. Or come back at 5pm. However, The hotel Durant did not provide coffee or any breakfast items until 7:30am, not enough time to eat and drive in time to the trail head. At least coffee could have been provided at 7am. But no flexibility on early coffee. The downstairs hallways were nice and cool, but room was warm. Not sure why thermostat did not work. Smoke or radium detector flashed all night long. In room fridge took hours to warm up, an issue since we had to go out and get iced coffee since we were leaving for the Maroon Bells at 6:30am and needed to keep the iced coffee cold. I guess this hotel is just not a good hotel for hikers, in spite of the proximity to one of the most popular mountain trails in Colorado. We did get good recommendations for reasonably priced restaurants from Dave, important since most places are $$$$!"

"The property was perfect for the price. The people were so nice and let us check in early and check out later. The value is there for sure. Better than other more expensive hotels in Aspen. The room was spacious and comfortable and had a little kitchen as well. We enjoyed our stay."

"My wife and I rented the condo with my in-laws and 13-month old daughter. We had a very nice stay overall. Ali (host) was extremely communicative and helped quickly troubleshoot some minor issues after check-in. The unit is well maintained, and the kitchen is stocked for cooking. The pool and hot tub were family friendly, and easy to access. The location is also fantastic, especially for summer, at the base of the mountain and just a few blocks from town. I'd note that it is located at the top of a relatively steep, but short hill, which we didn't mind. Any potential issue with this is mitigated by the fact that parking is easy and located right outside your front door. The only small negative is that the AC's are "portable"; they effectively cool the room, but are noisy. Overall, we would definitely stay here again"

"This is the second time I have stayed at this property and we could not have had a better experience. The host, Carol, is extremely accommodating and helpful, going out of her way to make it possible for our group to check in early. Unit was impeccably clean and ready for our arrival. Excellent location, just a short walk into town and to the transit center. Will absolutely look to stay here again. As always Carol, you're the best!"
Family Lodge Retreat - Your Own Private Getaway!

"Rented this house in late July. We had a great time. The pictures of the property (which are beautiful) really don't do the house justice. The house is actually even more awesome in person. Our family (7 adults and 2 young kids) loved everything about this home. Well stocked with extras and amazing views out windows. We enjoyed the pool table and media room and large kitchen area a lot. Private home, located just a short drive to restaurants and activities in Aspen with plenty of parking for a home of this size. An extremely positive part of the stay was the tremendous service Brandon and his team provides. Brandon is EXTREMELY responsive to any and all requests. Before the stay, he was great at answering all our questions. During stay was equally responsive. A true professional and a great guy to work with. Would certainly recommend him and this home to anyone interested ."
