"I loved the staff, the front desk guys are extremely helpful, the cleaning lady’s are awesome too, there’s tons of food areas around and the beach is super close. I wasn’t a fan of the homeless, beggars and sellers everywhere and if you want to avoid that go to Ipanema or leblon will be the cleanest but triple the price. The only issue I had was the steam room being stinky but everything else was great. The staff and breakfast is half of why I’d stay there again "

"Inside was nice. Food could definitely be better. Ran out of hot water during my shower on the last day. They didn’t bother us but there was a few homeless people camped out around the hotel entrance. Overall the stay felt authentic but would definitely raise concern for your average tourist. "

"Minimal conveniences but it worked fine. Good bed and luggage stand. Could use a comfy chair! Only one elevator working for breakfast, which made it slow, but breakfast was excellent."
