"Staff were excellent and friendly. Can also rent a taxi at the hotel for excursions to Ganvié, Porto Novo etc. of course a little bargaining does help!
Breakfast food options good. Room size is comfortable for a couple. However, is an old property so has its quirks. Travelers may prefer newer more central locations if budgets allow.
Currently the port is under construction in front of the hotel. So can be a bit disturbing for light sleepers.
But overall our experience was good!"

I liked this property very much! The staff were so kind and accommodating. As a woman traveling alone, safety was the most important quality I was considering when booking a hotel, and this one lived up to its reputation and even surpassed it. I felt very safe and comfortable the entire visit. Many thanks to the kind staff.

We only stayed here one night, but the staff were so friendly and accomodating. The rooms are HUGE. Breakfast was very filling, we were offered eggs, an assortment of bread, salad, fruit, juice, tea and coffee. The kids enjoyed the pool and the games out on the terrace. The manager, Toby, was very friendly and our kids loved his dog, Moon.

I was in Ghana for my Birthday with my 2 sisters. We decided to go to Benin for 2 days . The first hotel was not comfortable but when I went to Benin Royal I really feel like a Queen. The food was excellent. The staff was lovely. Although that I put that we were 3 but 4 in the reservation, The reception did not make a big deal of that. If I go back to Benin, I will definitely return there.

Cheap hotel compared to other. Staff is very friendly and very helpful taking luggages in the room. The room is small, the TV image quality is not so good, and the Wifi is weak but afterall it was a good experience staying there, very close to the beach. Great job to the staff!
