This was one of the best stays I have had anywhere. The service is excellent most of all and everything about the place is all you need.

Small room with stairs. Not so good for mobility issues but the breakfast was a 10 the host was very professional

This was a beautiful property and the hosts were excellent. I highly recommend staying here if you are down in this part of Devon.

The innkeepers, Jane and John were wonderful, friendly, and all one could want. The room and building were also immaculate, and nicely kept. A fan in the third floor room would have been nice, as it is not air conditioned. I suspect they rarely need air conditioning. But I did not think to ask until it was the middle of the night, and too warm. So not entirely their fault. The view was spectacular, and breakfast also first rate.

Gorgeous property with excellent facilities. Staff were absolutely incredible - friendly, welcoming and highly competent. Could not recommend this place enough!

Perfect place for a stay in Exeter. The room was tastefully decorated with a very comfy bed. Access was easy and location ideal.

Fabulous old world charm amazing staff

It's a beautiful place with a beautiful room in a spectacular area . And a very helpful staff. The food was a bit underwhelming compared to what we were expecting.

It was stepping in to beautiful history with the friendliest most accommodating staff around. Truly special and delicious food.

Our stay at Gidleigh Park was extraordinary. I had never experienced the level of service offered or the professionalism of the staff. We felt welcomed and cared for as individuals. The meals were outstanding. I’m so glad I chose to stay there for part of our trip to England’s southwest, but every place after was a bit of a let down.

The George was a great place to stay, dog friendly and all the staff were great and very welcoming and helpful. Although they don’t serve food in the evening, they were very accommodating, being very happy for us to bring a takeaway back to the dinning room to eat there. The breakfast was also excellent as were the staff waiting on!!. Thanks for a great stay!

Such a beautiful, beautiful place in a lovely setting. Such attention to detail, the furnishings, the gardens and sitting areas not to mention the wonderful breakfast that was served. Our host could not have been more helpful or pleasant. We hated that we could only stay one night. Hopefully we can return one day !

The accommodations were so lovely, comfortable and welcoming. Caroline is a delightful person and hostess and their food was outstanding We could not have had a better experience than we did in this overall wonderful setting
