They truly make you feel special throughout your stay and returning the beautiful property every day makes it feels as though you're coming home. The property grounds are beautiful and the restaurant patio is to die for. Not spending every single morning sipping coffee from that restaurant patio would be a mistake. "Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather."

It is quiet and stylish and near everything in Monteverde, including a hiking trail right next to reception. Room 104 is perfect for a family and just a stunning space. Highly recommend!"

"The property is pretty basic, no frills, just a simple room with a bad bed, a desk and chair, and a mini refrigerator. No A/C, not even a trash container in the room, only in the bathroom. The staff was very supportive and willing to help with everything, but the property needs some upgrades. "

"Flexible sleeping arrangements for a family was our primary consideration, and this fit that bill. The view is spectacular.Tobi was a responsive host. Monteverde is a more rustic and outdoors experience. Be aware that access to the casa really does mean 4WD and that you won't walk to a mercado on a whim. But as a base to explore, it was great. "The treetop house was so fun, the kids loved it especially. It is so unique it is difficult to describe. The layout and the kitchen make it feel more like glamping then a vacation house but we adjusted nicely. We did manage to cook meals for all 11 of us in the kitchen and on the grill, the cooking area is small but doable. The bedrooms are comfy and the location is great. Sabine was so helpful in setting up our tours and answering all of our questions. "
