"Was very apprehensive about staying in Lapa but after arriving I felt so much better. The hotel is in a perfect spot which made it easy to see Santa Teresa, the Lapa arches and sample local nightlife in Lapa. The staff were all so helpful and made our stay perfect. Would definitely stay again if I come back to Rio."

"Since this was a budget choice, I cannot complain too much, but there are several management flaws that need attention. Also, because I was traveling by car, the hotel's location was not a major factor for my daily commute. However, the overall experience was quite frustrating. Check-in was very slow, which is exhausting after a long trip. Inside the room, we struggled with a lack of luggage space to open our suitcases, and the room completely lacked towel racks. Another issue was the linens. While the sheets and towels were technically clean, they had a very unpleasant odor. Thankfully, the staff replaced them after we complained. Housekeeping threw away our used soap during the daily cleaning but not replenished it. Be aware that the hotel provides no amenities other than this basic soap. Lastly, there are no proper trash cans available on the guest floors. It works fine if you just need a cheap place to crash, but don't expect much comfort."
