"I cannot say enough good stuff about this hotel. It was clean. It was relatively easy to get to. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent. There was a high school band there at breakfast time this morning and the staff kept up very well and kept the food well stocked and were always kind. A special shout out to Paul, the man who checked us in. He could not have been more helpful. Anything we needed or any questions we had he was able to take care of and always had a smile and a kind word. The Fairfield needs to make sure they keep him!"

"Lobby smells damp. Elevators look and sound old, the washrooms in desperate need of upgrades, dirty windows, dirty air vents, and carpeting that I refused to step on barefoot. Can’t see staying there again "

"Ideal location a block away from Riverwalk and the Alamo. Not counting those along Riverwalk, there are a number of restaurants along Houston Street and nearby streets to sample. (La Panderia Bakery and Cafe is a must for breakfast!😀) If you’re coming to San Antonio by car know that you will have to valet your car at the hotel as there is no hotel lot or street parking anywhere nearby."
