Friendly staff. Rooms are older, but the Inn was built in the 1500's, so what do you expect? Rooms were a great size and the water pressure was outstanding. Breakfast was great and included with our stay. Good restaurant too for dinner.

The rooms are fairly small, but this is to be expected in such an old building. Spotlessly clean, good supplies of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits provided too. High quality linens.
The pub itself serves good quality beer (Wadworth's and associates), and the home cooked food was also great and healthy(ish).
Breakfast was hearty, with a good choice of options.
Staff couldn't help enough... Just about perfect really!

We absolutely loved our stay - the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.
Breakfast was great, lots of options. We enjoyed all the food we ate there, great variety on the menu and fresh tasting food.
We booked to stay here during the British Grand Prix and thought it was excellent value for money. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and seem recently renovated. Our room was up lots of stairs - this wasn’t a problem for us but worth considering your luggage.
Highly recommend!

Wonderful hotel! We enjoyed the breakfast and we also enjoyed evening meals in the pub/bar (great pizza) and in the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and professional and they definitely enhanced our experience. Thank you! We had a bottom floor accommodation, so we did not get the balcony I was hoping for, but the chilly weather kept us inside anyway. There is a rooftop terrace where you can enjoy a cocktail. The views are beautiful from there, but again, the chilly wind prevented us from...

Cannot say enough about this property. Start to finish one of the most beautiful, best properties we have ever visited. Recommend without hesitation. Make sure you plan to eat there. Restaurant is as good as the view.

The Castle at Edgehill is well kept, clean, comfortable and in a great location for exploring Banbury, Stratford and Warwick. We stayed in the Astley room and were extremely pleased with the comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and hot shower. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and we enjoyed being able to sit in the pub a couple of evenings, or in the garden, and enjoy the amazing views out over Edgehill and the freshly cut corn fields.Staff were friendly and helpful. Our stay at the Lion was excellent. The only complaint was that the door to our room wouldn't lock, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for shopping at Bicester Village and a short drive to Bleinheim Palace.

Simple room with comfortable bed, no air conditioning but our nights cooled down. The rooms are above a pub that often stayed busy till @ 11pm. For us, the noise never bothered us. Wasn't too fond of the smokers, but we delt with it. It was wonderful to have a pub below, we could wander down in the evening for a nightcap, play some cards, or grab a dessert. The town was lovely to take an evening walk in. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed them all. We really enjoyed our stay here,...
