"Beautiful grounds which look over the river Trent Secluded and in the mid summer the river sparkles Our accommodation included a dog reservation which is in the cottage’s away from main building Room is a-bit fusty not damp but has a smell Toilet handle needs attention as well as the cold/hot water tap Shower is brilliant Tea/coffee provided and a biscuit Breakfast was wonderful but evening meal is limited.pubs and restaurants 5 minutes drive away"

"A lovely hotel for a one night stay. Short walk into the city centre. Easy parking in the nearby 'Chapel Street' multistorey Car Park. Hotel staff were very welcoming and accommodating. I would stay here again."

"Only fault was my quilt was a double quilt folded in half into a single duvet and hot tap on the bath was very stiff to turn on and off other then that everything was fine"

"Lovely old property, it was right for us within nice walking distance to darley park for a concert( 20 mins). Very quiet area, slept lovely, comfy bed and pillows. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. Perhaps needs a bit of tlc and promoting as it didn't seem busy and really should be. If the outside door looks closed late at night just push it you can get in. Good value for money."
