"The Keswick Country House Hotel is a gem, quietly tucked away with a short walk from the town centre, lovely walks, and beautiful grounds. The hotel was once connected by a railway, which is now part of the C2C bicycle trail, and lovely level walk, through breath taking scenery. The breakfast is great with a great choice of food, well cooked and presented, including Gluten Free options. We had no issues. Maybe a bit more thought about layout, to help avoid cross contamination (eg separation of cereals from non gluten items) and maybe the sausages could be GF? I have found GF sausages are very good, as 100% meat. just a thought. Although I am not a Coeliac myself, my daughter is. I was impressed with some of the the attention to detail, but a bit more choice and slight adjustment with ingredients, positioning and location of certain foods, would be a wow factor, for anyone struggling with an allergy. thank you. The rooms were well equipped, tidy and cleaned regularly. This is an interesting hotel with unique railway heritage. Highly recommended 9/10. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful, I will look forward to our next visit and definitely enjoy this hotel again. Thank you"

"The location and the facilities both very good. However, we felt cramped and a little claustrophobic in this accommodation. Mostly down to us not really reading the information pack thoroughly enough. We are used to sleeping in a king size bed and this was a double and the cottage is tiny. But for the location and the facilities within the cottage.... Great value!"

"My stay here was wonderful. The room was exceptionally clean and it was cleaned every day I stayed there! The bed was made fresh, floor hoovered, towels replaced every day as I was out hiking. The breakfast was delicious and served warm every day, with full english, tea, coffee, juice, toast and cereals. The hosts were so helpful, pleasant, attentive and just generally made this a very comfortable stay for a solo traveller / hiker. Would 100% recommend."
