This property is pretty unique in its location, away from "the rest of the world". You really are in nature, surrounded by nothing else than rice paddies, lake, and such a variety of birds. It is peaceful, staff are very friendly and helpful, food is excellent and will accommodate vegetarian and gluten free needs. There is nothing I can fault our experience on!

I like that it is a boutique hotel. Not crowded as they have a selected number of rooms. Rooms are clean with patio open up to nature. You can even hear the peacocks in the morning. Bed is very comfortable. Friendly, respectful and kind staff. Beautiful property.

Our stay at Uga Ulagalla was by far the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. Far from the busy roads and honking buses this multi acre property was an oasis. Bungalows are situated all over the property, some with private plunge pools. Rooms are large with an entry way, living room, dressing area, oversized bathroom and bedroom.
