"Our stay at LUX Belle Mare in Mauritius was absolutely incredible and exceeded all our expectations. We visited to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday, and the resort made these special occasions truly unforgettable. A special thank you to Jennifer, the Celebrations Manager, who took exceptional care of us throughout our stay. Her warmth, attention to detail and thoughtful touches made us feel incredibly special, and she went above and beyond to ensure our celebrations were memorable. We enjoyed a fantastic range of experiences, including water activities, a cooking class and cocktail making, as well as beautiful surprises and special treats for our celebrations. Our meal at the Indian restaurant was outstanding, and the food throughout the resort was consistently incredible. We would also like to thank Monisha, who gave us such a warm welcome on arrival, and Babita, who ensured our room was spotless every day. Their care and kindness were truly appreciated. Every member of staff we met was incredibly friendly, attentive and welcoming. The hospitality was exceptional, creating a genuine feeling of warmth throughout the resort. The resort itself is simply spectacular. The beautiful beach, stunning pool, lush surroundings and relaxed atmosphere created the perfect setting for both romance and relaxation. Everything is beautifully maintained, and there is an impressive balance between luxury, comfort, activities and tranquillity."

"The excellent services from staff that we interacted with. I wrote a letter specifically calling out all the staff that went above and beyond to make out stay great. The view from the bedroom was excellent, the glass bottom boat excursion was excellent with the caption always friendly and helpful. The Aqua-arobics was great and unexpected. The best of all was the awesome filet at the Pomelo was the best we have ever tasked and the atmosphere was relaxing and parofessional."

"Thank you so much for an amazing experience! My husband and I booked SALT looking for a relaxing and chilled place and that is exactly what we got. Dheeraj and the team really looked after us, even making a personalised drink in a fresh coconut!! It was small gestures like this that made us feel so welcomed. They organised day trips and cabs for us, offered turn down services every night and we even got to have a full body massage in their beautiful spa with 20% off. We had a magical time and can’t thank everyone enough."

"Overall, I had a great stay at The Residence Mauritius and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, the service was warm, and the beach is simply spectacular—without doubt one of the hotel's greatest assets. That said, there are areas where I believe the hotel could improve. The biggest disappointment was the food at the main buffet. The quality was average, and on some occasions even below average. For a five-star resort in Mauritius, this was surprising, especially considering that many other luxury hotels on the island offer exceptional dining experiences. Coming from the hospitality industry myself, I genuinely believe this property has enormous potential. The foundations are already there: a beautiful location, excellent beach, charming atmosphere, and a strong team. With greater focus on the food and beverage offering and continued attention to detail, I have no doubt it could become one of the standout luxury resorts in Mauritius. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay and would happily return. At this stage, however, I would personally rate the hotel between **4 and 4.5 stars**, rather than a full five stars."

"This is a generally well-maintained hotel with a lovely atmosphere. Although the rooms are a little worn and could use an update, everything else was excellent. The food was delicious in every restaurant we visited, and the wide, beautiful beach with plenty of sun loungers made our stay feel truly relaxing."
