"Is a very simple and quiet hostel. My room was cozy and small. The building is old and not too modern. The plumping can be bad. If you are not into luxury and you are a simple person and dont really care about materials then this place is good for you. If you are not like that then this place is not for you. Is located in the main road of moshi so it easy to walk around. The price is realy good with a simple breakfast. Its a fair deal. "

"Beautiful gated property. Stayed here specifically for the pool-didn't disappoint. We used this property to relax after climbing Kilimanjaro. It was very restful. Food was okay. Prices very reasonable. I wasn't impressed with drinks-no ice, so no specialty drinks, wine was not good, beer was cold and good. Language a little bit of a barrier, but managed. Have to put your food order in and reservation time prior to dinner time. Not sure why, but it was unusual. Pleasant staff. Rooms...

"The people that work at Stella Maris are wonderful and really set this place apart from other options. I stayed here for 6 nights around a Kilimanjaro trek and it was a very comfortable and warm stay. The staff are friendly and caring and it very quickly felt like my home away from home. The food was also delicious and I appreciated the mission of the hotel+school. If I'm ever back in the Moshi/Arusha area, I'll be looking to stay here again. "When we arrived there they had over booked and did not have a room available for us. Although we booked 1 month in advance. Their general manager was not apologetic. Seemed like they had an event and they gave our rooms to some dignitaries. "
