Very convenient place to stay if visiting York. Two minute walk to the walled city. Nice, offstreet, parking at a very reasonable price. Staff couldn't be friendlier. Would definitely stay there again if we went back.

This hostel is in a huge house on the grounds of the amazing ruins of the Whitby Abbey. The view is spectacular. You can hear the ocean waves. To get to town, you walk past an old church and cemetery and down a long, old, curving set of stone steps that give you a beautiful view of the city. The staff is friendly, helpful, and on hand 24 hours a day. The breakfast was £5, and was an unlimited buffet with traditional full English breakfast foods and pastries, cheese packets, yogurt, and...

Boggle Hole YHA has a lovely, warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food is great (and so is the coffee). The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was small, but it was all I needed. The landscape around is fantastic. Reaching it is not easy if you don't have a car, but it is worth it. Note that the bathrooms and toilets are shared, but there were enough of them so it wasn't an issue.

Here for an event. Location and site was breathtaking.

I was driving from Skye to Skipton for Yarn dale. I didn't arrive till 1 or 2am. The staff was very nice and helpful. I stayed for 2 nights and I was relaxed and comfortable. The food and services were outstanding.

This hotel is located in a great location. Close to the train station and the Old town. We were impressed with our room, the friendly staff, and the cleanliness.
