"The George Hotel is a wonderful place and one that I will remember well. It's near to Hadrian's Wall and many other old Roman sites to explore. The George Hotel has a charm that countryside adventurers will love. Hikers from the wall come and go and share their stories. That bridge and the river provide a scene that you will remember. Although there is no lift, we found out that the room was easily accessible from the upper parking spaces. Staff was super friendly. The food was excellent and just what you would want after a long day exploring. Try the local beers! I definitely recommend."

"A very enjoyable stay with a comfortable room and friendly, efficient staff. The initiative of offering a free drink for each time the room was not serviced was excellent and a practice which other hotels would be well advised to copy. The hotel was a little distant from the town but this wasn't a major problem and the on-site parking was more than adequate"

The hotel was in a very good position overlooking the sea and a short walk into the centre of Seahouses. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation in staying there again and recommending the Beach House Hotel."
