"Loved the decor & history of the hotel/castle. The free tour after breakfast was an added bonus. The only downside was the awful shower curtain over the bath. "

"We had a friendly welcome, but were surprised to be asked to pay cash- in- advance on arrival, as there was no facility to pay by card as expected. Fortunately it was not a problem as a cash machine was close by. The hotel has no chef at the moment, but there were plenty of eateries in town. The 'continental breakfast' was delicious. We were able to leave the car parked safely while we took the train for a day out in Newcastle."

"It was a wonderful experience. The cottage and garden make you want to just stay there. Also the location is perfect, with the beach, connections and lovely destinations nearby. Jacqui was a perfect host! "
