"This was our first time staying on the French side, at Esmeralda. Overall, it is a decent resort; it consists of small villages, each containing four guest rooms. The rooms themselves are spacious and clean, and every village shares a swimming pool among its four units. The resort grounds feature a French restaurant serving very delicious food. "I loved the pool it was clean. It has a private gate to park inside, fully equipped kitchen, air-conditioning was great. We felt safe. Coco was always there to answer questions. The only down side was we had to being out own TP and the sheets were scratchy. They had water problems the week we were their but not any fault of theirs, it affected the whole area. But they had a cistern and brought in water, so all was well. "

"The room good, very clean.the kitchen was not good. No coffee pot, only espresso. You had to hold the toaster down manually. Only 1 outlet so you could only use1 appliance at a time.no hot water in the sink. The hotel itself was clean but the whole surrounding area was littered with rubbish. "

"This was the best hotel stay we have ever experienced. Upon arrival we were greeted with the friendliest reception staff. The entire week that was carried through with every staff member we encountered. Our room was very clean and daily housekeeping kept it sparkling all week. The grounds are gorgeous and the walk through the gardens to the beach took my breath every time. We are already planning our return trip next year. "

"Great property with a beautiful view of the hills from a picturesque sun deck. The sun deck on the first floor also includes a heated, well lit pool which is available for use all day long, beach chairs, a fully equipped kitchen(limited use) and a corner nook in case you wanna hang out by the pool but stay out of the sun at the same time. "The one lady who checked in was really nice but the other manager/owner? Was the rudest, most angry, unprofessional person I've ever seen in the hospitality industry. We honestly were made very uncomfortable and booked another hotel around the corner. While the villa is nice it's really a gilded mansion with very minimal if not gauche interior design, just an afterthought. Felt very soulless. "
