"The hotel interior is clean and spacious, so was the room. The breakfast buffet spread was superb. What I didn't like - the exterior needs upkeep, as in the windows. The glass is full of dirt and rain spots...gives an otherwise lovely view out, a not so lovely view. When it rains (and it did rain a lot when I was there), the rain drops made loud splattering noises on the metal mullions (the horizontal window frames). "Overall a great place to stay as the bed was comfortable and my room had a fantastic view of the

, the busy River, golf course n city. However, I had to have my quilt changed as it was worn out. They should also change 2 of their squarish pillows as they’re just as worn out. Oh yes, the room door needs to be adjusted as I had to pull it hard to close with a bang. Compliments to all the service staff who were very helpful and cheerful. "

"We had a lovely apartment with a great view of the city and mountains. The room was very spacious and in an acceptable condition. We were surprised that breakfast was served to the room, rather than in a restaurant. There didn't seem to be any options so we weren't able to eat the breakfast since it didn't align with our dietary requirements. One thing I didn't like was that someone rings your door at 7am until you open the door to receive your breakfast. This was a bit disruptive to our stay."

"Really lovely place to stay in Kuching in walking distance of the waterfront And with plenty of character. There are some great views from the communal areas and a lovely swimming pool. The staff were helpful and the breakfast nice but basic. The surroundings are quite noisy so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Would highly recommend this place to stay!"

"Permai is fantastic, we had a treehouse and enjoyed waking up to monkeys and bird song each morning. It is a perfect place to just relax and do nothing or book some tours from. The staff were all lovely and helpful, if driving us themselves to catch a late afternoon boat trip. We extended our stay another night as we loved it so much."

"Room: room is clean. Bed is comfortable. I stayed for 3 nights, the first 2 nights had no hot water. Only on the 3rd night hot water is available. Toilet basin is clogged. Facilities: gym condition is dated. Aircon not working, later they provide a fan. Machine condition not good. Food is ok."
