"Love this place and happy to be going there since it opened over 30 years ago It’s changed overtime with multiple different owners. Overall, this pace is still to out liking despite lack of the woodburning for our place, the resort fee and more recently the parking fee. In this particular case, the checkout staff was rude. "This vintage hotel in downtown Stevenson is perfect for dog walks, breakfast and dinner. I had at least 3 choices for dinner with my dog...and the river and cruise lines, shops and eateries are top drawer. Trust me I travel 3 times a year with my dog from WA to CO and back. I stay in lots of hotels and airbnbs. This hotel will remain on my "to stay" list as will the town."

"Room was very gross. I don’t think this place should be in business. I blew up my air mattress and stayed because I would’ve payed twice as much somewhere else because I had my dog. "

"Bathroom Ok equipped. Lacking washclothes, conditioner etc. Kitchen was great. Overall cleanliness was ok, floors and bathroom vent van were dirty. Host was very nice and helpful. "

"We never got to stay at the hotel. They called us in the way there and cancelled our weekend due to a ‘ room emergency’. Then we began a nightmare of calls trying to get our refund being bounced between Expedia who told us to call VBRO who would promptly tell us to call Expedia. What a nightmare! I’m still waiting for the hotel GM to return my calls. "

"I truly enjoyed my stay in this beautiful setting. My only complaint is, when booking a room thru a 3rd party one doesn't know of all the add-on charges they will get charged. I was charged an additional 70 for parking, ground maintenance, and other general stuff. What a surprise."

"Very nice hotel. We were unable to book a massage but we used the mineral pools. Very relaxing. Went back to the room and our tv didn’t work. They were unable to fix. It wasn’t that important, we were tired and had our phones. The big disappointment was our dinner. The dining area and bar was nice but we were very disappointed with our meals. We opted to leave early and not to eat breakfast there. "
