"The B&B is in an excellent location, with a 15 min walk into the centre of Keswick. The breakfast is very nice and the staff are really helpful. Free passes to the spa is a great touch and exactly what we needed after a long walk. I'd highly recommend staying that this B&B. "

"Beautiful, warm and cosy hotel. Parking tricky at times. Very slow shower flow and stopped completely at one point!! Staff were excellent and food quality was also very good. Thin walls in room...we could hear everything when our neighbours went to the bathroom! Overall, a very pleasant stay despite minor niggles."

"The lady owner was friendly and lovely from the moment I arrived. I was made to feel very welcome and was even treated to a plate of home made biscuits. The bed was comfy and I had an amazing night's sleep. Breakfast was served at a time that was convenient to me and everything was very fresh. The bread and jam were also home made. The property is in a very quiet location and in lovely gardens and provides a great place to stay during a visit to the lake district. "

"Accommodation clean and tidy. Keys a little hard to find at the beginning for entry as there are many 'front porches'. In a nice area with mountain views and easy access to Whinlatter and Keswick and surrounding area."

"The Potter suite that I was staying in had the most beautiful view on the lake and the mountains. My comfortable room was being cleaned every day. I can also recommend the bathtub in which I took very relaxing baths. The staff is friendly and accommodated to all of our needs and were overall just very helpful. Taking morning walks to the lake is also something that I enjoyed doing a lot. The hotel truly has a magical garden. I will definitely come back to the Derwentwater Hotel when I visit the Lake District again. "

"The lords seat was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Great location with amazing views. Nice to have the extras like the dvds and games. The only disappointing thing was the water going off (ironic in the lake district) but obviously not your fault. The only thing that would have helped is instructions on a couple of things. We struggled with the hob as it clicks off every time we put the pan on and hadnt used that sort of hob before so took a while to figure it out. It was a lovely place to stay. Thank you for letting us stay there."
