"Overall, we enjoyed our time and the condo was nice. There was construction going on that we did not expect, but it did not cause too much of a disturbance. Good news is…looks like they are upgrading, so things will be even nicer for the next visitors."

"The staff was very friendly. The room was not as “renovated” as we expected, but it was ok for its age. We will definitely stay again. (Pet friendly rooms are not beachside- the view is the parking lot)."

"My husband and I enjoyed a beautifully quiet weekend at this charming hotel. It truly feels like stepping back in time in the best possible way. The atmosphere is incredibly quaint, warm, and welcoming—it feels like coming home, just to a much simpler era. 😊 We stayed in the Flamingo Room, which was absolutely adorable and full of character. The only issue that should be addressed is the bathroom door. There is no handle on the bedroom side, and since the bathroom lacks ventilation, it can become quite hot and uncomfortable. At first, I was surprised—and honestly a little horrified—to discover there was no TV. However, it turned out to be one of the best parts of our stay. We didn't miss it at all. Instead, we spent our time talking, laughing, and simply enjoying each other's company. It was a wonderful reminder that sometimes the best memories are made when you unplug from electronics and reconnect with one another."

"My husband, our dog, and I stayed at Blue Whale for two weeks, and it was a wonderful experience. In our opinion, Blue Whale is one of the best values on St. George Island.The location is perfect; there's a beautiful view of the ocean and direct beach access right across the street. It's also within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and everything you need, while still being far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet.The house is older, but it is comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing two-week stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and the kitchen had everything necessary for preparing meals.Mr. Matthews, the owner, was outstanding. He was always available, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We truly appreciated his hospitality and attention to detail.We would definitely stay at Blue Whale again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and perfectly located beach cottage on St. George Island."

"It was very to easy to find it. Awesome location, very quite area, with a beautiful view. The host was wonderful, friendly! Very clean room and bathroom. Beautiful sunsets! They had a few shops nearby, we rented bikes and delivered to our place and picked it up."

"Gorgeous and spacious! Love the pickleball courts and the room with the view of the water. For some reason they don't give out the code for the entry gate when they email the unit door code, which is annoying. Regular coffee pot, nothing fancy. Enjoyed the stay, this was our 2nd time."

"We had a great time! We absolutely loved the condo. It was well furnished and spacious for our group of 6, and our fur babies. We appreciated the easy access to the beach. The views were beautiful from the deck and the condo was stocked with all the amenities we needed. And Danielle was responsive to my questions. We hope to stay here again soon!"
