"Our first time in Birmingham and so happy with the Elyton hotel. This is one of the prettiest hotels we've stayed at. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms are modern and not the usual boring aesthetics. The rooftop bar was perfect spot after a show. The bartenders were great! The area is very walkable with restaurants nearby. We will stay here again if in town."

"The area was typical city that is a little run down but didn't feel unsafe. Was hard at first to figure out getting in to check in because the entance blended into the buildings. The staff was wonderful and the hotel itself was very nice and clean. "

"Enjoyed our stay, only one night. More business travel hotel IMO, but fine for fams too. Remember that parking is either valet or on the street (and the meter maids come at around 8am) and thats on top of the nightly stay. Former Tutwiler Hotel, very nice old building in lovely part of downtown. Historic, classic building which translates to strange angles, room configurations, but we liked it alot."
