"Fantastic stay. Gareth was very welcoming and friendly when we checked in. Nothing was to
much trouble for him. He got me a hairdryer, iron and ironing board when I asked him. Parking was £6.50 for 24 hrs. We stayed 2 nights. Ideal place to stay. Between the hub and shopping centre. AC was fab in our room. No kettle in room but you can purchase tea/ coffe downstairs from the machine which is £2.50 "
"Overall, a great stay. The hotel isn’t pretty from the outside, but it makes up for it inside. I found the rooms to be more modern than other Mercure Hotels that I have stayed in. Only down side was there was no lift. Stairs a little steep - I travelled with my mum who is in her 80’s and she found the stairs a little hard. "

"Great little find. it was lovely to wake up and sit with a cuppa and see baby ducks, swans and squirrels. Peaceful, clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't try any of the facilities available as it was a one night pitstop but will be returning soon to try them out."
"We have stayed at DoubleTree many times. Reception staff are always welcoming. Evgenia is always friendly and helpful. She has checked us in on our last three visits.
As a side note, we have witnessed a guest being quite rude to her and she communicated with them in such a professional manner.
We sometimes request a room up-grade and the hotel has always been able to accommodate, even if it is for a specific room, so thank you House-keeping staff.
