"Wonderful place"

"The apartment is perfectly located with a view of the cathedral and sound of the bells chiming on schedule. We were not greeted by a person, therefore, we had some difficulty learning how to operate appliances etc. We could never figure out how to operate the stove or AC. The stove is gas and we were afraid of a gas leak occurring due to not operating it properly. We decided eating at restaurants would be easier and safer. The AC did not turn on when we attempted to follow the written directions. We were told to plug in the AC, follow the directions and use the remote. Our 2nd attempt failed. Fortunately, the weather was not hot and we could get cool by opening the windows. I noticed another portable AC in the bedroom with the king size bed. We did not attempt turning it on as we chose to sleep in the room with twin beds. The bathroom shower stall is small and showed signs of age. The water pressure was lower than what we are accustomed to. The apartment should have lamps for comfort lighting. The small round globes do not provide enough light for reading etc. so we used ceiling lights. I made a huge mistake when booking because this apartment has no elevator and it is located on the 3rd floor. Having to navigate 3 flights of stairs (especially with luggage) was difficult for us. Our taxi driver was kind enough to assist us with carrying luggage on our arrival date and on our departure date. Our stay was ok, however, not one of our favorite memories."

"Great location and wonderful views. Rita and Christina were amazing, they make you feel at home and wanted to return. You leave already missing them!! Very useful advice. Feels like a garden, plants along the facilities. Beautiful garden. Very comfy bed. Big rooms, our room had a beautiful room of the valley."

"Quite possibly the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in. It was two twin boxsprings pushed together with very flat pillows. It was like sleeping on plywood. There was alot of street noise plus the windows were very dirty. Breakfast was good. Overall, not worth the money."

"The location of this apartment is perfect for Orvieto, you are right in the middle of town close to everything.The apartment is clean and modern. A very comfortable bed.As it's been mentioned in a few of the reviews, the bed room is up a flight of circular stairs, this was not a problem for us.The kitchen is stocked with enough items to make light meals.The coffee maker is a pod machine with a couple of pods left as a courtesy it's easy to purchase more in several of these small stores around town. But there are so many wonderful places to have an espresso or a cappuccino.One thing to note is the description does say laundry. And it's really the only reason that I gave the description rating four stars instead of five. The laundry it refers to is a coin laundry which is just a few minutes away which we did use. It is a bit expensive 6 euros to wash and six euros to dry. But we met some very nice local people there.Be sure to ask Francisco for restaurant recommendations, he gave us several and both of the ones that we went to were excellent.As with many small towns in Italy the more off the beaten track the restaurant is, generally the less expensive they are but in no way do they reduce the quality of the meals which have all been, as I said, excellent.I will not hesitate to stay here if we visit Orvieto again!"
