The Walnut | East Ruston Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"This was the second time we stayed at the Walnut and we had a wonderful time. The owners helped us to settle our rescue dog in and provided us with extra rugs so he could walk around. The hot tub was lovely and we enjoyed the views of open fields whilst we sat in it - we saw deers a couple of times. The dogs loved the secure field. The inside of the cottage is set out well. We took the dogs to cart gap beach and happisburgh beach which are fairly close although due to one of dogs being an older lady we drove there. We look forward to visiting the Walnut again"

"Lovely barn conversion which has been converted to a very high standard overlooking the Norfolk countryside, very peaceful and quiet. Countryside walks on the doorstep and walking distance to Happisburgh beach. A perfect base for exploring the local area with Cromer, Sheringham, Norwich and Great Yarmouth all in short driving distance."

"We booked Badgers Retreat with Bristows Barn so 10 of us could have a family holiday. Worked brilliantly lovely house for two people think it was a nice quiet escape for our family members after the noise next door. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and bathroom. So many places within easy reach and quiet walks for the dogs. We would definitely book again."

"Our 2nd stay everything you could need for a family holiday well stocked kitchen very comfortable beds one en-suite bedroom downstairs very secure garden perfect for rescue dogs who can be reactive. So many places within easy reach and lots of quiet walks around. The welcome basket on arrival was very much appreciated, we will definitely book again.What’s not to love at Bristows Barn,"

Peaceful lakeside cottage close to the Broads and beaches

"The setting of this holiday home is amazing, the view onto the lake will be unforgettable! Also the surprise of seeing the swans' entire family in the lake and sunset view will stay in our memories.The house itself is good, a bit in the 90s style, but very nice living room space and terrace. Bedrooms and beds were comfortable. The biggest downside was that hot water that was coming and going and many times we ended up with cold baths which was disappointing. Internet completely absent (no WiFi) and reception in general very poor so we were quite cut off from the world. Kitchen was lacking some essential tools like a colander, we have been provided with only 1 towel per person, only 1 toilet paper roll and 1 drop of washing up liquid, so on this side not very generous privision. Also the laundry room is outside the house and for drying they charge 1 per 15 minutes with coins, so essentially not usable.Overall happy, but there could be some improvements!"

"Bumblebee Cottage is a gorgeous comfy cottage that has everything you need for a relaxing stay in Norfolk. It is very clean and makes it a relaxing stay. The welcome booklet we received prior to stopping was excellent, full of useful tips for the area, details of the property and local amenities. We were warmly greeted by Paul and Stella and they checked in on us throughout our stay ensuring we had everything. In addition they let us know about a local boat trip viewing the eclipse ( something we hadn't noticed ) and even provided us with eclipse glasses. They really go over and above to make our stay even more fabulous the cottage itself is very comfortable a lovely sofa and bed. The kitchen was really well equipped, so we were able to cook dinner there easily. The welcome hamper we received was amazing, full of lovely local foods, breads, fudge, scones etc - Lovely patio area with spectacular views, not to the mention the hot tub. Dogs were well catered for, with a basket of bowls, dog towels and toys etc. The gate to the paddock area was a god send, so we could let our dog out for a run easily . An amazing little gem"

"Just came back from an amazing week at Seaclusion, as soon as we walked in the door we loved it! Home from home and sitting in the conservatory with a lovely view of the lighthouse. Really comfy beds, great kitchen and so spacious. So close to walk up to the lighthouse and down to the great beach. Took our dog and he has had the best holiday ever. Have booked again for next year."
