"Breakfast was ok. Not very much choice. The lift was out of order from the ground floor and the only option was the stairs. Not good with luggage to the 3rd floor. The staff were great. The location was very much central to the whole of york which was a saving grace "

"Terrific stay for two nights. Very central—walk to the shambles, Cathedral, pubs and dinners…we also took a bus from just down the street into the farmlands of Ampleforth and Scawton (1 hr 10 minutes)…and then train back from Helmsley…it was a wonderful trip to visit our ancestors dating back to 1790 in the farms and in the city if York from 1888…great staff…"
