"Check-in does not go out of their way to explain anything or to make sure you knew everything about timing or events. There was an awesome jazz night we missed our first night because we had not idea about it. More info on breakfast is needed. Pool closed at 6 on our first night which killed all our plans. A text sent to guests would have helped understand why and when it would re-open.
We dined in the Copper Tower for lunch. No one was nice. We had never been there before and had to fend for ourselves. Daughter wasn't feeling well and had $8 french fries she didn't eat pushed on her and not taken off the bill when we mentioned they weren't eaten. Cinnamon roll was weak. Tasted overly like orange and was dry. We consumed an english muffin, two very poorly poached eggs, and a waffle and the bill was $140. No one asked if we were staying in the hotel; we couldn't get back easily from that room.
Gift shop staff asked if we were stopping there to have dinner. We were staying for 2 days. We found out from the third gift
shop person that we could get postcards of the room we were staying in. It made me
wonder what else was offered we simply didn't know about.
Ice machine non-operational for our entire stay.
Secret Garden: beautiful. When is it open??
Overall: clean room, BEAUTIFUL property, great amenities if they are open during your stay and you know about them. Loved the pool (except for the closure), although the hot tub was broken the second night."
