"The cottage is fine and it is in a nice location BUT the details of the cottage listed on the Expedia website and Sykes Cottages are different and misleading. Expedia shows the cottage to be within the Penzance city centre & 8 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The cottage is 8 miles (13 kms.) from the Penzance city centre. "We stayed there on Saturday 27th June (mazy day) the room was clean and spacious, the staff were friendly and that evening there was live music from a local band so all in all a very nice stay tho I did find the bar prices a bit expensive 🤔"

"My room was impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable and there were a couple of places to sit and watch the sea and world go by. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to help. Breakfast was good and the coffee strong. It's a perfect location for exploring Penzance, going for a swim in the Jubilee pool and taking any of the boat trips on offer either to Scilly or wildlife tours. Yes, the carpet / decor could do with updating but that didn't matter to me. The staff and the view out the front window makes this place a true gem."

"It is a nice little appartment with a spacious bathroom and everything you need. Good location, close to Quai and City center. Free parking, perfect hosts, they also provided some breakfast. BUT we were looking for a place with a terrace/balcony and its only a small entrance area, with 2 uncomfortable tiny chairs, you dont want to sit on and relax."

Highly recommend staying here for anyone wanting to access the local area. It’s also a gentle walk from the hotel along the beach front into the town. Staff were very friendly and welcoming."
