Find Hotel with a Concierge in El General

I was in CR for 7 nights - my best stay and value was at Hotel del Sur. I couldn't find the place upon my arrival - thank goodness Stephanie at the front desk spoke great English and was able to guide me to the hotel. I came to learn all of the front desk staff spoke good English actually. Not only did Stephanie help me find the place, but she was super friendly and accomodating regardless of my late hour arrival. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

Very easy for tired travelers. Everything we needed was there. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, nice bathroom. Definitely recommend.

The beach was amazing! The cabins are very private and comfortable. There are monkeys and toucans on site. The staff was fantastic. So friendly! We got a flat tire and they pointed it out to us and immediately changed it for us...in the dark! Exceptional service! Highly recommended! We will be back!

Beautiful, beautiful grounds and setting with so many birds and feeders right there and a beautiful mountain river flowing through. We saw the Quetzal's on four occasions. Exceptional buffet breakfasts, too!

Kurà and its people are remarkable. It is difficult to be brief; we had a very rich experience. My boyfriend and I just got back from the most romantic long weekend at RP imaginable. Friends in San Jose have been recommending it for years - and now we know why. The food, ambiance and service are second to none - certainly in CR. The staff is super friendly and accommodating - but professional as well. We already miss the care they gave us. My family and I stayed at the Cristal Ballena for 3 nights at it was absolutely lovely. The hotel grounds are considerably large and extremely well-manicured. There are a variety of flowers, fruit trees and other shrubbery making our early morning hikes through the property incredibly pleasurable. The best part was the enchanting river we discovered. You would probably love to spend a couple hours in the beautiful, big pool overlooking the ocean. It's really refreshing compared to the intense...

Absolutely epic view. Incredible accommodations and very friendly staff. We had a very short stay and wish we could have been there longer. Highly recommend. The only challenge is the treacherous drive up/down the mountain. It is not paved and very rocky. You’ll need a 4x4 vehicle.

My family really enjoyed our stay! The property is beautiful and the staff are so friendly and helpful! The food in the restaurant is excellent but a bit overpriced. We would definitely stay there again!!

This property is very relaxed and welcoming. The staff are highly attentive and really take care of you while you are on site. The addition of the animal sanctuary makes it a very eco-friendly destination. We stayed for one week during which the surrounding jungle and wildlife were the stars of the show.

700 meter unpaved road shouldn't dissuade you from this oasis.Everything about it was great; staff warm and helpful, rooms are clean and worth double the price; great food at the restaurant.

A beautiful resort hidden on a winding dirt road atop a hill set among the trees and wildlife with an exceptional view of the Pacific Ocean below.
