"I have a confession, I've been gatekeepering this place for over 6 years hoping nobody would notice how great it really is. Ok, thats a lie. Truth is I recommend The Byward Blue Inn to anyone I know who is traveling to Ottawa. The rooms are smallish but well kept, and always a bottle filtered spring water in the fridge. The rest of the hotel is always clean... and the breakfast. Simply the best bang for your buck or Euro, or whatever. "

"The Chateau Laurier; one of Fairmont's true gems is located right on Rideau Street in downtown Ottawa, steps away from the Byward Market and the shops on the Sparks Street Mall. The staff is superior; they treated me like royalty, and could not have done more to make my stay fantastic. This is the only Ottawa hotel I will ever consider staying in. The hotel is so beautiful, with so much history. I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Ottawa."

"Great place to stay. Close to everything. Great restaurants close by and right down town. The only one thing is on one of the corners is a homeless shelter and homeless people. During the day however is very safe"

"I arrived very early and the hotel staff were extremely welcoming, offering to store my luggage and also getting me into a room way ahead of check in time. My room is exactly as advertised; modern, clean and spacious. The pool, sauna and gym are also very clean. I’ve had a fantastic stay with AC Hotel! "
