A great getaway location with easy access (30 mins by car) to Beaches, Porto, Amarante, River Duoro etc. There is much to do in the area: sight seeing, walking, riding bikes, train ride, swimming in the sea and rivers. Everyone we came across was very friendly. We'd love to come back!"

"Our hosts, Maria Eugenia and Jose, were amazing! Kind, informative, generous, helpful, I can't say enough about them. We stayed for four days, two couples in the larger home. It was spacious, each couple with their own bathroom. We ate most of our meals at home. Our comadre caught a cold right upon arrival. She had a comfortable place to read, rest and recover, while we enjoyed the pool and had such a wonderful outing in the boat on the Douro river. This was definitely a once in a life time...

"The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We were 8 adults two children and one small dog in total. While on the ground floor the common area suited the group well, everyone couple/family had its own room and space upstairs. The garden is great and has an awesome view to a small vineyard and corn plantation. As the house is fenced, the dog and the children could freely play without further concerns. "This is a 300-year-old farmhouse that has been converted on a very quiet spot in a middle class, safe and retirement looking (?) neighborhood. There was a bedroom and bath upstairs and a bedroom and bath plus another half bath downstairs with a kitchen that was compact but had everything you needed and a lovely outdoor space. Aveiro and Porto are an hour away, but you have some very unique tourism opportunities about 10 minutes away in S. João da Madeira with their industry tourism and hat and shoe museum!"

"Reception staff were really helpful when we arrived early,eg let us park in car park and use toilet. The apartment had a lovely sea view and a comfy sofa. It was plenty large enough for two people but did need updating. The bed especially so as it was creaky and uncomfortable, spoiling our experience to a certain degree. The kitchen was very basic and had no preparation space without us moving the microwave out of the way, it was in need of a major upgrade."
