"We were fortunate enough to stay at Sulfner in January and it was really fanastic. The rooms were very well maintained and exceptionally clean, the views were just amazing and the staff were wonderful. "If you are planning to visit Merano this is the place to stay. It is a family run hotel and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We first stayed there two years ago and it was great but since then it has had a major renovation and it is even better now. We were upgraded to a Garden Suite which had a fantastic view over the great pool area to the mountains. "Deserves its rating. Other than the breakfast buffet, I ate in the dining room only once so can't comment on the food. The breakfast was sumptuous. Friendly staff; lush, semi-tropical, five-star grounds; pool, spa, all appointed beautifully. Tucked away from traffic but very centrally located, the neighborhood is wonderfully quiet! As five-start implies, it is expensive but provides everything you could want for a meeting or getaway."
