The Falling Pecan Lakehouse

"Home is clean and updated inside. Location is very good. It met our needs well. Plenty of room to organize clothes in the closets. Lots of blankets, pillows, and towels. Beds were comfortable. I would recommend bringing your own kitchen knives. It has a well stocked kitchen.The highlight of our trip was the ability to use the kayaks and swim/fish/sit on the very large dock. Our kids enjoyed the paddle boat and had a big time on the lilly pad. Super fun memories!Wr appreciated the door alert bells and child safety knobs considering the water out back. Friendly neighbors. All in all, this is a GREAT space for kids. Not much yard, but with the water, that worked just fine. We brought our own tackle and used a combination of our own poles and the host poles. We caught bluegill, catfish, and gar. We caught most right from the dock. We grilled burgers on the outdoor grill. They have grill tools onsite. The hosts were incredibly responsive since to questions and we felt supported throughout our stay. Would stay here again!"

"Beautiful property with amazing views— lots of windows and great seating in and outside. Wonderful and comfortable beds— hot tub clean and well maintained.Communication with the owner was beyond frustrating— has to contact VRBO to get help. Got door code almost an hour after agreed check in time. Does not respond or responds multiple hours later to Vrbo messaging, emails, calls, or texts. Big sitting area has cushions stored inside the closet of one of the bedrooms and guests must get them out and put them back in— seems like that would be provided because of the large size of the cushions and amount ( almost takes up the entire closet ).House needs a few things— lighter or matches ( we had a power outage and wanted to light candles so we wouldn’t run down our phones using flashlights) wash cloths, working can opener, working dishwasher, landscaping— big thorny rose bush in the front walkway— several of us got snagged or scratched. Overall- beautiful place but would not recommend based on unresponsive owner"

"Excellent stay. Hosts were very easy to work with. Location easy to find. Cabin is very nice. Rustic not luxurious but wonderful setting. Cleanliness was good but were dusty corners and cobwebs in a few areas. Layout of one bathroom is odd. Watch your head and shoulder! Other cabin is right behind this one if you have a big family."

Birdsong Cottage - A gorgeous lake view cottage

"Birdsong Cottage was the perfect place for us. The primary suite is HUGE. Water pressure was strong and comfortable and we had all the supplies we needed for our 4 day stay. We mainly just used the bedrooms and bathrooms since we were visiting friends just 4 minutes away on the lake, but the living room, dining room and kitchen looked well equipped and decorated nicely. The dining room table is cool. Our group would have loved 2 "double or queen beds" in the house over the room with the twin bed and a pull out couch, but we knew that before going into it. We were concerned that the back door was unlocked when we checked in late at night, but all worked out fine. We will for sure stay there again and shared the link with our friends for them to recommend as they often have out of town visitors! Thanks for sharing your home!"
