"Buck made the most wonderful breakfast and was so pleasant to talk with. A great location convenient to Lake Placid history and Olympic areas. "

"We didn't use laundry service. There was no available wood for fireplace or firepit. Accommodations were very good. Plenty of amenities which made our trip very enjoyable!! The lodge was pretty clean when we entered. Back patio and kitchen stove could have used a cleaning, but overall the place was clean and very nice! Kitchen had adequate dinnerware and appliances available for our use. Could have used a few more garbage bags for trash. Plenty of towels and sheets. TV entertainment was adequate, but someone must have logged out of the pre-programmed TV apps so we couldn't use them, but no big loss because there was plenty of other things to do for entertainment. Bathrooms and Bedrooms were very adequate and cozy. The boot/glove dryers in the garage came in very handy! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely stay here again. Hosts were also very responsive to online questions."

"I booked the Spruce Room, which has extremely dated pictures online. There have been years of use when you actually view the place. The kitchen has stains and marked up tiles, bathroom is barely clean with black mold in the back of toilet. All 4 of our beds had dirty linens and since there is no on-site manager, they had us raid the emergency shed and hopefully retrieve extra sheets. These sheets were all unusable. They reeked of mildew. Our family had nowhere to sleep that night, so we had to emergency book a hotel 30 minutes away. Beware of the accuracy of the pictures!!!!!!!"

"Location was great- 5 minutes from Whiteface lodge. Theresa was extremely helpful and responsive. She also had great suggestions for activities and such. The house had everything we needed for a group of 11. Great restaurants in lake placid a quick 20 minute drive away. Fireplace was a nice bonus too!! Would love to come back another year!"
