"Check-in/check-out was nice and easy. Rooms were nice & big. View of the beach, from our rooms was quite nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A note was posted that jacuzzi jets were not available to turn on. That was a bit disappointing. Rooms are located near the main street so we heard traffic and passing Metro train, through the night. Breakfast was more continental than a full breakfast. Overall stay was great."

"After COVID the hotel rates increased dramatically based on the few improvements to the rooms~ The bathtubs still have no mats in the tubs so they're very slippery~ Bathroom flooring always seems dirty~ The bed coverings are 2 sheets and a thin blanket, we froze both nights! But it's one individual in particular, Kevin, who is very matter of fact and never friendly or helpful! I've been staying at LHL several times a year for the last 10 years and every front desk agent is helpful and friendly, all but Kevin! It was 2 years ago, when I booked through the hotel directly, tgat I was charged a "BED TAX" which resulted in another $100 being added to my bill! I questioned it and Kevin became argumentative and couldn't explain what this tax was for and why isn't it mentioned on their website! That's when I stopped staying there~"

"Check in staff, pool/towel staff, and valet came across friendly and helpful as a couple who are people of color. The food and drinks from the market place were quite expensive in order to have little to no taste/flavor. Some of the food from Bob’s Steakhouse was good. Some of our food selections were dried out or very little flavor. The duck, oysters, and mashed potatoes were good. The baked potato was dried out. The salmon was cooked well, but tasted flavorless. The room appeared clean overall. But the curtain rod had what seemed like years worth of cobwebs that reached down to the lamp with a live spider that was huge. "
