"Superb relaxing stay at the Bowes Hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The food was excellent, all home made and plenty of choice on offer. They also cater for vegetarians and vegans which made my day! All the Thai dishes on the menu are authentic and very good. The Thai mains can be made vegan or vegetarian with tofu or quorn. The breakfast was also brilliant with plenty of choice for all dietary requirements. They cooked me a full vegan breakfast and supplied me with oat milk for my coffee and cereal and vegan spread for my toast. They certainly made a real effort to accommodate my dietary needs. The hotel is spotless and the bedrooms are finished to a very high standard. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and the shower nice and powerful. The train station is a stone throw away and the location is perfect for exploring Northumberland. I will definitely return to this hotel and would highly recommend it to my family and friends. "I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks and off road cycle trails. Thanks Posh Huts!"
