"Paid for 5 nights, stayed for 1. Host ignored multiple messages, phone number wouldn’t connect. Pillows and pullout mattress beyond unsanitary. Overpowering odour throughout property. Weirdly, there was attention to detail in some areas. Beautiful setting, well maintained garden, great location. Such wasted potential from an uncaring host. "Very comfortable bed, clean room We stayed for 2 nights. At check-in, we did not notice the sign in reception that you need to ask for a room refresh (before noon) We needed clean cups, glasses, tbags, but we asked in the pub on the second day and all were provided. The only downside is there isn’t really anywhere in the bathroom to dry towel on a two night stay, so maybe best to ask for refresh Excellent value for money"

"We stayed at the hotel for one night and it was the worst night ever. We stayed in the family room me, my son and our dog which nearly died, she couldn't brief there (french bulldog). It was very hot outside and we couldn't open our window because it was broken. It was boiling hot there. We had two fans run whole the time but without fresh air it was really hard to stayed there. We asked to change the room but theymafe so fuss about and apparently were fully booked. Avoid staying through the summer"

"Parking was easy. Plenty of space, We received a warm friendly greeting from the receptionist. She was very helpful. Our room was clean and tidy. We will book a queen size bed next time and ask for a quilt to be put on the mattress as we found the bed a little hard. Breakfast was comprehensive and good quality. Sadia the lady working this morning was very helpful. All in all, we were impressed with the hotel and will be staying again"

"Check in was smooth - when entering our room, we noticed there had only been 2 towels left out for a room of 4. The shower was out dated and patches of black mould in places. There was dust round the edges of the room and the sink had water in it from the previous clean or guest? There was one pillow for each guest, when most people sleep with two. The worst part was the air conditioning… we woke up around 5 to a dripping noise - the air conditioning was leaking, the floor was sodden. When we mentioned it to the front desk - they said “yes we have that a lot as it is old” Oh and yes it has a “gym” but don’t get too excited…there are 3 machines in a tiny room - no weights either. Other than all of that, it was okay. Breakfast was good, just a shame about the room."

"Check in was quick and easy , room spacious well equipped and clean , after hours access was straightforward and parking ample All staff were cheerful , helpful and attentive.The breakfast was one of the most pleasant I have had in a long time - quality ingredients , well presented and served while piping hot Well done Cley Hall"
