"★★★☆☆ — Hyatt Place Atlanta: Set Your Expectations Right If you're booking Hyatt Place, know what you're getting — this is NOT a full Hyatt property, and that's perfectly okay. Hyatt Place is a separate, more budget-friendly brand, and once you understand that distinction, you'll find this hotel is a decent place to stay. The property itself is new and well-maintained, which is a definite plus. Breakfast was good — a highlight worth mentioning. That said, a few things gave us pause: • Not ideal for families with young children or infants: the shower setup was not accommodating for little ones. • Thin walls and poor sound insulation: noise from inside the room can be heard outside, and vice versa. Privacy is a real concern here. • Location: this particular property sits right next to a club, which I would not like "

"Im a gold member and the desk clerk Loran was not nice at all. I know I booked through a 3rd party but that was bc it was last minute. She didnt speak, she kept coughing not covering her mouth or apologizing I asked her about the bottled water she said its for honors members. I said I was. She got an attitude and advised bc I did 3rd party I wasnt privileged to get. I advised ive done 3rd party before an was able to get it . I get it, even though I never heard that before but she didnt have to be rude and blow me off. I felt like I was an inconvenience to her when I first walked up. If you pull camera she wasn't even busy"

"Just across the street from Avalon at a fraction of the price. Very friendly staff and a fabulous breakfast."

"The place seemed to be understaffed - service was slow and quality was nothing special. We stayed for 2 nights and our room wasn’t refreshed by housekeeping so we were waiting on clean towels and toilet paper. Reservations were required at both of the upscale restaurants on property which was a bummer. "

"There is no breakfast bar unless you are a member of Sonata and as far as the bar, the bartender was amazing. I didn’t get her name, but there wasn’t a very busy bar for that type of hotel being that it was in the high 80s in May you would think they would’ve opened either the indoor pool outdoor pool something and nothing was open. Nothing was clean. We had issues where the shower wood gurgle into the sink. There was a smell in the building as far as the staff I never saw housekeeping ever and if I wanted anything clean, I had to go downstairs and get it myself. I would never stay there again. Another couple left also."
