"The house is beautiful and wonderfully appointed - even better than the pictures would have you believe. Location is fantastic - minutes from downtown Aveiro, two big supermarkets and the beaches, but still in a residential neighborhood. Our host Adelaide was so friendly and helpful and made the stay that much better. 10/10 - would definitely recommend."

"The house has a good location, close to the beach and to the city, with all services and shops near. We went by bus from Lisbon to Mira and got an taxi to the house. The accommodations are very nice. We had just a problem with clogging of toilets, but the owner went there on next day with products for us to use on it. The thermoaccumulator size is not enough for 12 people to take shower straight, so we had to organize turns for it along the day. In general we liked a lot to stay on the house."

"This is a very well equipped villa in a lovely location overlooking the lagoon. The village of Torreira a few minutes away is a gem. A pretty little town with old buildings lining the pedestrianised main street at one end and a harbour with brightly painted traditional fishing boats at the other end. The villa has a good heated pool and two comfortable lounges, one of which overlooks the lagoon. The garden is secluded and a nice place to relax. The nearby road is only really noisy on Sundays...

"We loved our time spent at Carmo’s home in Aveiro. She was very thoughtful, and left some local treats and beautiful sunflowers for our enjoyment. Our infant also slept very well in the provided crib, which is quite a feat! The house is just a quick walk to the city center, and we were also able to enjoy Costa Nova and Coimbra while there as well! Carmo was responsive to our questions, and was so gracious and accommodating. Thank you so much for opening up your home to us!"

It was also a great jumping off place for exploring further afield… a short trip to Aveiro and one hour drive to Porto. We all loved coming back to the house for a swim in the pool! Pedro was a warm and welcoming host. We appreciated his information about exploring local sights and restaurants. We would definitely recommend his lovely house to family and friends!"

"Just returned from a two week break at Porto Carreiro House. If your are looking for a base to tour northern and central Portugal this definitely fits the bill. A car is essential as the property sits within a residential area. Nuno was excellent with answering any queries both pre and during our holiday."

"Hemos estado dos familias alojados en esta casa. Es muy amplia y cómoda por lo que estuvimos muy a gusto las ocho personas que éramos. Tiene aparcamiento para dos coches que a nosotros nos vino muy bien. Está en una zona tranquila cerca de la ría donde hay unos caminos de madera para pasear o ir en bici. Quizá único pequeño inconveniente es que se necesita coche para ir al centro o al súper más cercano."

"House was fine for what we needed it for. A bit dusty like it hadn’t been used in while. There is a tenant in the back that we only found out about a week before check-in but he kept to himself. Parking was a bit tough but we had 16 people stay at the property. Over all it did it’s job for the price we paid."
