"Wonderful. My room was very large complete with water, tea, air conditioning, and bathroom. I had a short but very nice stay. I would absolutely stay here again. The gentleman at the front was very kind and courteous and helped me with my luggage. Which I greatly appreciated. He also called me a taxi in the morning. "

"What a hidden gem!! From arrival we were welcomed by Julian and Victoria the children of the owners. We were greeted with champagne on arrival and treated like loyalty. The hotels gardens and pool are so beautiful you would pay to visit these alone. The garden even has tortoises and fruit growing which you will eat at breakfast. "Good value for one night and 10min walk to the centre. The parking is street parking which was fine the area felt quite safe. The room was spotless clean and the bed comfortable. The walls although are very thin so you can hear people in the next rooms and upstairs. Plumbing is very noisy. We were kept up and woken up quite early because of noise. Otherwise good stay!"

"Excellent location in the center of the old town. Minutes walk to all sights. Like most hotels in the old town, this one only has a few rooms, so one should expect more of a B&B experience instead of any fancy hotel facility. Breakfast is by voucher, to a nearby pastry shop (for one coffee and one pastry). "

"Beware - I booked through Expedia but will not do that again as when couldn’t get a flight in time for the first day, and I tried to change the booking to arrive the second day of my week long stay, it cancelled the whole booking and re-booked at a much higher rate. "We liked the location and the fact it was quiet.The bed was comfortable. Kitchen adequate but would have liked electric kettle. It was wet weather and we had no control over heating as it was put on remotely and only occasionally during our weeks stay. We appreciated the clean towels and linen everyday. A welcome pack was not included ie info on nearest shop. So more difficult when travelling without a car. Lucca is a wonderful city and a few little touches would have made us feel more welcome...

"Great value for money. Clean/tidy/comfortable big bed. We went for the family room as have two kids. Late self checkin was accomodated and all check in details sent via whats app early on in the day. Super market like a 30 second drive away. Would visit again if in the area. "

"The room was spacious and lovely and just a very short walk from the walled city. Perfect for our needs and the cafe a few doors away where breakfast is provided is really nice also. Luccia was welcoming and very helpful. Would heartily recommend. "

"Zwar abgelegen aber super schön und erholsam. Natürlich kann man immer meckern aber ich würde sagen das die Unterkunft vollkommen in Ordnung ist. Komplett Familien geführt und sehr ruhig, die Zimmer sind nicht mehr die neuesten aber ich finde soweit alles in Ordnung. Es wird sauber gehalten und auch das man nach 4 Tagen neue Handtücher bekommt ist nicht schlimm den auch zu Hause benutzt man nicht jeden Tag ein neues. Das Frühstück ist vollkommen ausreichend nur der Kaffee könnte etwas besser...

"We would definitely come back again. The hotel was in the most beautiful situation overlooking Lucca. It was so very peaceful. And to have a swimming pool was an added bonus. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. "

"Beautiful little townhouse all the comforts of home. A lovely big spa bath, great continental breakfast. Perfect location for walking around the new and old town up on the hill. Walking distance from the station. And the host Samanta was more than helpful even gave me her mobile number if I needed anything. I will definitely stay again "

"We are a group of 12 retired friends traveling first time in Tuscany. Villa Buonamici was the perfect accommodation for us. It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed."
