"When we got to the hotel, our check-in was delayed almost until 4 PM even though they promised that their room will be ready earlier. Took me quite a bit of complaining to get to our room by 3:30 PM. The room that we had was very nice, but it had a very noisy AC unit, which was outdated and probably is used throughout the property."

"We absolutely loved our stay! The homeowners truly thought of nearly everything and created all the comforts of a home away from home. We especially appreciated the beach chairs and cooler provided for daily use, and the tankless water heater was a huge bonus! No worrying about short showers with multiple couples getting ready for dinner out after a long day at the beach. The beds were comfortable, and the blackout curtains were much appreciated. The view was absolutely stunning! Unfortunately, we experienced high winds for most of our week-long stay, which wasn’t ideal since we love gathering outdoors on the lanai in the evenings. Thankfully, the covered downstairs patio gave us the perfect alternative for cards and cocktails. It ended up being such a cozy and fun space for everyone to relax and spend time together.Everyone was incredibly helpful and promptly responded to the few questions we had upon arrival. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!"

"This property may have been beautiful decades ago but it unfortunately has not been updated since that time. The rooms were wet with humidity due gaps in the door, paint was chipped and warn, and the hallway floors were stained due to water/mildew. The grounds and gym were a 10 out of a 10, but overall the property is extremely dated and the expansive property makes it a challenge to navigate and is very time consuming to get to the lobby."

"Great place to stay if you are in Kauai! Staff were incredibly helpful and we felt comfortable. The place is gorgeous with great views of the ocean. There isn't a sandy beach that is part of the resort, just a rocky one. However, there is a beach with sand nearby that visitors frequent."

"We had no problems with our stay. The location is great and the grounds are beautiful. Loved having an umbrella, beach chairs and towels to use. The tile floor always felt sticky and there is a damp smell to the whole place, but I think that's just what you get for living in Hawaii."

"(Two guests in our early 60s) The gardens are lovely, with several spots to sit and relax. The room is small but clean and perfectly adequate. We especially enjoyed the private patio garden just outside the sliding glass door, though the sprinklers chased us in in the early morning. Bananas from the garden had ripened, and Kevin kindly shared them with us. Parking was the only drawback—road work (April 2026) and events at the Hyatt meant a long walk to the car. Beach access is easy via paved paths: Shipwreck Beach is nearby, and Poipu Beach is a little over a mile away but an easy walk. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return."
