We loved this hotel, so beautiful! The rooms were great and beds very comfortable. We loved that our rooms had doors right out to the back garden, which was fantastic. Food and service were phenomenal ! I would definitely recommend this location.

Plenty of parking on arrival. Receptionist was very helpful explaining all we needed to know. The room was very spacious with everything we needed. Breakfast was superb with lots of choices from hot breakfast items, cereal, toast, croissants and rolls. Choice of fruit juices and coffees. Overall excellent accommodation .

The front desk staff double as restaurant staff - so was challenging to get someone at the front desk when needed. But everyone was friendly

Great property

Nice hotel, not quaint or Scottish, but nice. I am not sure if they used any insulation between rooms as we could hear the neighbors conversations quite well and the TV from about 4 rooms down.

Amazing overall. Bed could be a little more Cush but overall great facilities and the cafe at the bottom is wonderful.

Enjoyed our stay here. Room was a great size with comfortable beds. Location is excellent: 5 min walk to the castle, and around a variety of shops and restaurants and a very safe area. Staff was helpful and friendly. The only “con” is parking for the hotel, which is about a 15 min walk away, so can be challenging if driving.

Close to the Edinburgh castle, and transportation to airport. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Elevator does not reach the 3rd floor, a wee annoying but not a problem for us.

This is a wonderful hotel. We will definitely stay here on future trips. The location is ideal and the employees so responsive. Then beds were super comfortable, I just wish they offered a top sheet in addition to the duvet for the weird Americans that are used to that. I'm sure we could have asked for one. We just loved our suite. Top choice

Convenient location allowed us to walk to all the attractions, shops, and endless dining options. The staff was friendly, the bartender was a super hard worker and great at his job, and the rooms were clean. The hotel locks the gate at night so you have to use your key to get in, which is a nice feature for safety. If you are a light sleeper, it might be too noisy for you. Amazing, quaint hotel that also still serves as the Royal Scots Club. Located in a more quiet part of New Town, yet only a few blocks away from St. Andrews Square, Princes Street & Stockbridge. Hotel atmosphere might be a bit too settled for families with small children or younger partygoers & clubberers, everyone else who is looking for a nice and quiet retreat from the hectic and tourist filled city and a friendly, personal staff should not get disappointed.
