"We loved our stay at The Commodore West! The house was spacious, clean, and perfect for our family. The only thing we wished for was a bedroom on the bottom floor for those who struggle with stairs, but everything else was wonderful.The beach view was stunning—hearing the waves and watching sunsets from the balcony made every day special. Being right on the sand made it easy to relax, take walks, and let the kids play.We also loved how close the property is to Fort Morgan, one of our favorite places to visit in Gulf Shores. The history and views there are incredible, and it’s so convenient being just down the road.The home had everything we needed: a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and a host who made sure everything was ready. The location was close to restaurants, shopping, and attractions, yet still peaceful.This was one of our favorite beach trips, and we’d absolutely recommend The Commodore West to anyone looking for a relaxing Gulf Shores getaway!"

"We had such a great stay, and the property was perfect! We searched for a place in a not-so-busy area, wanted to be in walking distance of the beach, private pool, and could accommodate about 9 people. This was such a great find and checked every box for us. Everything from booking, to check-in to check-out was a breeze. The home had plenty of amenities, and was very spacious. We will be back!!"

"This house has amazing views and the fishing either off the decks or downstairs is great. It is a beautiful house with spectacular views and right on the ocean.With that said, there are some things that really detracted from the property. The cookware looked like something they threw away at a garage sale it was pitiful. Burned pans, teflon pans with half the teflon scratched off, etc. If you set these at the curb, no one would pick them up. The stove downstairs was a cheap very basic white one with rust spots and foil in the bottom. The appliances overall were cheap and well under the quality you would expect for a property this price.The worst thing was the gas grill. It was a cheap piece junk that was so nasty it took me almost an hour to just get clean enough to cook on. I used a whole roll of paper towels and bought a grill brush at the hardware store. They need to throw this away and buy a half decent grill.The lights downstairs did not work so we had to use our own lights. There were no chairs downstairs either so we had to use our own. Another strange thing is the house is set up like two separate units. The upstairs is like one rental and the downstairs like another. There is no living room downstairs so if you want to watch Tv, you must go outside and up the stairs or lay in bed and watch. This house is in dire need of an inside stairway. The inside furniture was cheap junk as well.The owners need to spend some money on the inside to match the quality of the house."
