The staff, especially the General Manager Mr. Abdul Rab, is a gem. **pedia basically screwed up this booking due to website errors during payment ("Oops, something went wrong on our end, please try again"). They ended up booking the hotel five times, all on the wrong dates which had apparently re-loaded from the previous cached page for the booking I had just completed at a different hotel, for the day before this one. The property is in excellent condition; the grounds and setting, interesting and historical; the breakfast scrumptious and memorable; and the nearby downtown city of Orange afforded very good restaurant access. Very nice Hotel ,well situated with plenty of dining opportunities very close by. My two complaints are the pillows are so small and so soft that they were useless and the bathtub is very slippery. We mentioned about the bathtub at checkout and were told all we had to do was ask and we would have been given a bath mat. So I'm ready to take a shower and now and I'm going to walk downstairs to get a mat for the shower. It should be in the room ready to use.

There aren't many places that can comfortably accomodate a party of 6 (ages toddler through adult) while including a list of activities and amenities for under $200 a night. This is a charming bed and breakfast. Anmenities are high end, so is the service. We stayed in a room circa 1752. The bedding however was more recent and very luxurious.
