"I love the history behind this property. It's very quiet and peaceful, due to its setting on a beautiful 80 plus acres and its distance from the main road. Staff was very friendly and enjoyable to be around. The breakfast in the morning was very good and set the tone for the rest of the day. "Rooms are small but Clean, quaint, and comfortable. Loved eating breakfast and enjoying the wine/cheese happy hour on the beautiful wrap around porch. Overall great stay, would highly recommend!"

"What a fun little find! Lovely spacious inn deep in the heart of Charlottesville wine country. Close to a number of wineries and to Charlottesville. The suite had a comfortable sitting room and a spacious bedroom. Don't miss dinner at the inn as it's amazing. Breakfast the next morning was better than any hotel breakfast I've had in years--the French toast will haunt my dreams. Definitely will be back. "

"Quaint location in the middle of nowhere. We weren't in town for the sites but if you like living on a farm it's sweet. Parking was all dirt and made things very muddy during the rain. Owner/proprietor was nice and friendly "

"This is a charming bed and breakfast. Anmenities are high end, so is the service. We stayed in a room circa 1752. The bedding however was more recent and very luxurious. The grounds are impeccable, with flowers and trimmed hedges everywhere. There are fields and even a little nature trail in the woods on the property. "Desiree and Stephan are quite the hosts! They catered to all our needs and anticipated them. We were welcome with a delicious wine tasting and charcuterie board. The house is beautifully decorated and the grounds delightful. Breakfasts were a treat as Stephan has a background as a chef. "Very pet friendly, which is important to us, given that we have two dogs. Alan Webb, the host, has a cockatoo, which the dogs loved and which we loved also. Good proximity to the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, and the White Oak Canyon trail in the Shenandoah National Park.
