This was the perfect away from the city stay for us. Cortona was just a quick few day stay for us but the staff/sylvia were fantastic. Room was clean, the breakfast was delicious. A/c and water pressure from the shower was much needed and the location was perfect for us. It is a short walk from downtown Cortona (steep walk into the city and about 15 mins) but the views are unmatched. Pro: gorgeous and spacious property, we were upgraded to a junior suite that was lovely, attentive staff, and incredible amenities. Pool was wonderful for tired bodies. Con: very few. The restaurant on site has pretty limited menu, toilet in room kept running all night long- informed staff on checkout (as it was troublesome to flush, and wasting water), fridge in room- housed in a cabinet that I feel caused it to overheat… and therefore was not very powerful enough to keep drinks cold. Our visit was like being spoiled from the moment we arrived! The staff and even the owner were there to make sure we had everything we needed! Though our visit was in the off season, the only thing we didn't get to use was the pool as it was just too cold. The breakfast, though, was the best we have ever had while traveling! Highly recommend!!!

I visited La Macerine with my wife and a couple of friends. The property is beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, I met Stefano who was a terrific host, very helpful and pleasant! The location on the lake is just a beautiful setting. I highly recommend for anyone touring in this part of Tuscany and Umbria.

A lovely, comfortable hotel in a beautiful location with spectacular views. The staff was beyond excellent going out of their way to help us as we navigated through the issues related to driving in a hilltop medieval town. I have been in Italy many times but everything here was so delightful and beautiful it will always remain a highlighted memory.

Nice quiet hotel even though on the main street of the castle area. Staff was friendly, the food was excellent and the price was a bargain. The room was quite small but there is a common area where we could hang out a couple of times. Parking is by the hour in the nearby area so recommend you get the parking app, which was also useful in other towns.

Great front desk staff. Properly maintained well. Pool is excellent. Breakfast can be a little better. This was my third stay there. I don’t recommend the restaurant,so many better local places in the area. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful couple of nights at Hotel La Torre. The staff was very helpful and cheerful. The rooms were large, comfortable, clean and air-conditioned. Breakfast was plentiful. We loved Castelioni del Lago - beautiful views, nice people and great little restaurants.

This property was stunning. Gorgeous views westward over the rolling Tuscan hills, paired with a cozy spa and relaxing outdoor pool were the perfect setting for a portion of our honeymoon. The staff was very friendly/helpful and management certainly does a superb job maintaining this historical setting.
