"This was an absolutely amazing rental home. The location was perfect: a quick and easy drive into town and an easy walk to the beautiful beach across the street. Eleuthera can feel rural at times and while this property is tucked a bit out of the way and felt quiet and private it was still easy to access. We loved the town of Governor’s Harbor and were really happy to have this location as our base for exploring the southern side of the island. Everything matched the listing accurately and the layout of the house was perfect for our group of 6 friends and couples. Great common space and a really well appointed kitchen that made cooking at home a breeze. That top deck with ocean views was so peaceful and comfortable for morning coffee. Jethro is a hospitality pro, he welcomed us so warmly, took his time showing us the ins and outs of the property, and was happy to give advice about which restaurants to go to and which beaches and excursions to check out per our group’s needs. We took a lot of his advice and were so glad we did!!We all wish we could’ve stayed much longer and are eager to return. Thanks, Jethro!"

"Bonefish Barbi’s was a very comfortable stay for us on our third trip to Eleuthera. You can’t beat the location with the beach right outside your door and centrally located to Governer’s Harbor making groceries, gas, and restaurants an easy trip.The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of supplies to enjoy the decks and beach, and the wall of windows provided a panorama view of the ocean.The landscaping provided for a private stay and the outdoor shower was a lot of fun!Check in was easy, orientation with recommendations were very helpful, and the host was very easy to communicate with."

"We loved our stay at Ocean Waves. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for 4 of us. The kitchen was well-equipped. The property manager was very responsive when we had questions, both before and during our stay. Definitely recommended!! One tip - we found several places that only took cash. There are ATMs if you run short. Also, don’t miss the fish fry if you’re there on a Friday night!"

"This was my 4th time staying on Eleuthera and by far the best trip we’ve had, largely due to this property. We had a large group, 17 staying at Lush Life and another 10 staying at a property nearby. The house was immaculate upon arrival and we had several of those “better than the pictures moments” across the group when we walked in. It’s obvious the owners take exceptional care of the property. There was more than enough space for kids and adults to spread out, and despite being one of the best beaches on the island, we basically had the entire stretch of sand to ourselves all week. Because of the small island nearby, the beach area offered protection from the current and wind so that our children could swim and snorkel safely, and we actually found that the reef structures surrounding the island were teeming with life. Dominic and Joy were true professionals and highly responsive each time we had a question. In short, if you are looking for a premier property on Eleuthera, look no further."

"Wow! This is truly an amazing place! The location, the view of the ocean from the house, and the house itself was beautiful! We had the beach all to ourselves and took long walks, snorkeled, did some fishing and relaxed by the ocean. We stargazed on the deck in the evening! The house had everything we needed and our host was very responsive when we reached out with any questions, and very easy to work with. We would highly recommend staying here - we were sad to leave! You won’t be disappointed! "

"We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Purple Papaya. The cottage was super clean and well stocked. The views were phenomenal! We walked the beach every day. We enjoyed Tippys, for lunch and dinner. We could hear the music from our back porch, while enjoying the pool . Would definitely recommend staying at Purple Papaya. "

"We stayed for a week here as a group of 8, and had an awesome experience! The house was wonderful with ocean access and views, a large, clean pool and pool toys, watercraft, and well stocked bathrooms and kitchen. We rented a car, which was a good choice because it made it so much easier to run to Governor's Harbour, restaurants, and the many, many beaches nearby, as well as to explore the island. The locals were all friendly and helpful as well! The only complaint I'd have is that the house is in need of a serious deep cleaning, and the watercraft was difficult to get in and out of the water, with the way the water access is set up, but we're a low maintenance crew, and that didn't stop us from having an amazing vacation! Overall, a wonderful time for our first-time experience in the Bahamas! "
